The personal data we process depends on how you interact with LifeNumbers.

When you request or purchase a reading, we may process:

• your name;
• your date of birth;
• your email address;
• your selected reading focus or topic;
• marketing preferences and consent records;
• order information;
• payment and transaction status;
• checkout and transaction identifiers;
• calculated numerological values;
• your generated personalised reading;
• delivery status;
• customer-support communications; and
• other information you voluntarily provide to us.

When you use our website or interact with our advertising, we may also process technical or usage information such as:

• approximate date and time of access;
• referring website or URL;
• pages visited;

Your date of birth is used to calculate the numerological values required to create your personalised reading.

LifeNumbers uses predefined calculation logic to derive numerological values, which may include values such as:

• Life Path number;
• Personal Year number;
• Personal Month number; and
• Personal Day number.

These calculated values, together with information such as your name and selected reading focus, may then be processed using artificial-intelligence technology to generate the written interpretation forming your personalised reading.

We do not intentionally use your date of birth, personalised reading text or calculated numerological values for advertising targeting through Meta.

4.1 Providing the LifeNumbers Service

We process personal data to:

• receive and administer your reading request;
• calculate your numerological values;
• verify payment;
• generate your personalised reading;
• deliver your reading;
• prevent duplicate fulfilment;
• manage your order; and
• provide support relating to your purchase.

The legal basis for this processing is generally that it is necessary to perform our agreement with you or to take steps at your request before entering into that agreement.

4.2 Payments and Administration

We process payment and transaction information to:

• determine whether payment was successful;
• associate payment with the correct order;
• administer refunds where applicable;
• maintain business records;
• prevent payment-related fraud; and
• comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations.

Depending on the processing involved, the legal basis is performance of our agreement with you and/or compliance with a legal obligation.

If you contact LifeNumbers, we may process the information contained in your communication to answer your question, investigate an issue, resolve a delivery problem or otherwise provide customer support.

4.4 Security and Fraud Prevention

We may process limited technical, transaction and usage information where reasonably necessary to secure our systems, detect fraud, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and protect our legal rights and those of our customers.

4.5 Analytics and Advertising

Subject to consent where required by law, we may process website and advertising information to:

• understand how visitors use LifeNumbers;
• measure marketing performance;
• attribute conversions to campaigns;
• improve advertising campaigns;
• understand funnel performance;
• optimise advertising toward relevant conversion events; and
• create or use advertising audiences where legally permitted.

4.6 Email Marketing

Where you separately choose to receive marketing communications, we may process your email address and related consent information to send those communications.

Purchasing a reading does not require you to consent to marketing.

LifeNumbers uses automated technologies to produce personalised numerology readings.

The numerological calculations underlying your reading are performed using predefined software logic.

Information including your calculated numbers, name and selected reading focus may then be submitted to an artificial-intelligence service to create the written interpretation.

LifeNumbers currently uses the OpenAI API for this purpose.

The AI system is instructed to interpret the numerological values supplied by LifeNumbers rather than independently establish the authoritative numerological calculation.

Information necessary to generate your reading may therefore be transmitted to and processed by OpenAI.

LifeNumbers does not use this automated process to make decisions about your eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, healthcare, education, public services or other decisions intended to produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

LifeNumbers readings are provided for entertainment, personal reflection, inspiration and self-exploration.

Because LifeNumbers uses an artificial-intelligence provider to generate personalised reading text, information necessary for generation is processed electronically by that provider.

We aim to limit the information transmitted to what is reasonably necessary to generate the requested reading.

Our use of the OpenAI API is separate from consumer use of the ChatGPT service.

According to OpenAI's policies for its API and business products, API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI's models by default unless the relevant customer explicitly opts into applicable data-sharing mechanisms.

LifeNumbers does not intentionally opt customer reading data into model-training or model-improvement programmes.

LifeNumbers uses Stripe to process payments.

Stripe processes the payment information necessary to complete your transaction. LifeNumbers does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card details.

We may receive and retain information such as:

• payment status;
• amount;
• currency;
• checkout session identifier;
• payment or transaction identifier;
• payment date and time; and
• information necessary to associate the payment with your order.

Stripe may also process personal data for its own purposes, including fraud prevention, regulatory compliance and payment processing.

LifeNumbers uses Resend to deliver transactional email, including your completed personalised reading.

Information necessary to send the email may therefore be processed through Resend, including your email address, email content, delivery information and technical message identifiers.

Transactional emails concerning a purchased reading are separate from optional marketing communications.

LifeNumbers currently uses Framer for website hosting and website functionality and Supabase for database, backend and server-side infrastructure.

Our systems may store information relating to reading requests, customer information, payment status, numerological calculations, generated readings, delivery status and operational records.

We may replace, remove or add technology providers as LifeNumbers develops, while continuing to process personal data in accordance with applicable law.

LifeNumbers uses or may use advertising services supplied by Meta Platforms, including advertising through Facebook and Instagram.

We may use technologies including the Meta Pixel and, where implemented, server-side measurement technologies such as the Meta Conversions API.

Subject to your consent where required, these technologies may be used to:

• measure advertising effectiveness;
• attribute website visits to campaigns;
• attribute purchases to campaigns;
• understand conversion rates;
• optimise campaigns;
• measure funnel performance;
• create or use advertising audiences where permitted; and
• reduce ineffective advertising.

Depending on configuration and consent, information processed in connection with Meta may include IP address, browser information, device information, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, page visits, campaign data, website interactions and conversion events.

Conversion events may include visiting LifeNumbers, starting the reading process, submitting a reading request, initiating checkout and completing a purchase.

For purchase measurement, transaction value and currency may also be processed.

LifeNumbers may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies.

Some technologies are necessary to provide, secure or operate the website and requested service.

Other technologies may be used for analytics, advertising, campaign attribution, conversion measurement and audience functionality.

Where applicable law requires prior consent, non-essential technologies will only be activated after you provide the required consent.

This applies in particular to consent-dependent advertising technologies such as the Meta Pixel.

Rejecting non-essential advertising cookies does not prevent you from purchasing a LifeNumbers reading.

LifeNumbers may send marketing emails only where there is an appropriate legal basis to do so.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

You may unsubscribe through an unsubscribe option in a marketing message or contact info@lifenumbers.eu.

Transactional messages necessary to confirm, process, deliver or support a purchased reading are not marketing communications.

Depending on how you interact with LifeNumbers, recipients or categories of recipients may include:

• website hosting providers;
• cloud and database infrastructure providers;
• payment processors;
• artificial-intelligence providers;
• transactional email providers;
• analytics providers;
• advertising and measurement providers;
• fraud and security providers;
• professional advisers;
• contractors who reasonably require access to perform services for us; and
• courts, regulators or authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Our principal technology providers currently include Framer, Supabase, Stripe, OpenAI, Resend and Meta Platforms.

We do not sell lists of LifeNumbers customer personal data to third parties.

Some providers used by LifeNumbers operate internationally or use infrastructure outside the European Economic Area.

Where a transfer is subject to GDPR international transfer requirements, we seek to rely on an appropriate legal mechanism, which may include an adequacy decision, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses or another legally recognised transfer mechanism.

LifeNumbers does not intend to retain identifiable personal data for longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

Relevant considerations include:

• whether a reading request was completed;
• whether a purchase was made;
• whether information remains necessary to deliver or support a reading;
• legal accounting and tax requirements;
• payment administration;
• security and fraud prevention;
• potential disputes or legal claims;
• technical troubleshooting; and
• whether consent remains valid for consent-based processing.

Where information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymise it.

We may retain information despite a deletion request where continued retention is required or permitted by applicable law.

LifeNumbers takes reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, unlawful processing, accidental loss, misuse, alteration, destruction and unauthorised disclosure.

No internet-connected service, database, email system or third-party infrastructure can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Accordingly, while we take reasonable security precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where the GDPR applies, you may have the right to:

• request access to your personal data;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request erasure where the legal requirements are met;
• request restriction of certain processing;
• receive certain information in a portable format;
• object to certain processing;
• object to direct marketing processing at any time;

LifeNumbers is not intended to sell personalised readings directly to children under the age of 16.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children under 16 for the purpose of selling personalised readings to them.

LifeNumbers may contain links or redirects to websites or services operated by third parties, including payment providers.

Where a third party independently determines how it processes personal data, its own privacy terms may apply.

LifeNumbers is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party controllers.

If LifeNumbers or the business operating LifeNumbers is reorganised, sold, transferred or otherwise changes ownership, personal data may, where legally permitted, form part of the relevant business assets or operations.

We may also disclose personal data where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a lawful request, establish or defend legal claims, investigate fraud or protect rights and security.

LifeNumbers may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, advertising activities, providers or legal obligations change.
